Odelya Gertel Kraybill, Ph.D., LCPC, ACS has been an adjunct faculty in the GW Art Therapy department since 2016. She is a trauma specialist, trainer, psychotherapist and consultant who has lived and worked in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and North America. As a Fulbright scholar (Eastern Mennonite University, MA, 2004-2007) she developed Arts for Trauma Awareness and Resilience.  In her second Masters (Lesley University, 2007-2010) and PhD (Lesley University, 2012-2015) in expressive therapies she did research on expressive arts in the context of complex and developmental trauma and secondary trauma.

Dr. Kraybill has developed Expressive Trauma Integration™ (ETI), an integrative approach to trauma therapy based on her research and clinical practice and blogs for Psychology Today on trauma and sustainability. A research interest of the last decade has been wellness and integrative health, especially nutritional psychology and neuroimmune and neuroinflammatory conditions as root causes for acute neuropsychiatric conditions. She maintains a private practice for survivors of developmental and complex trauma, and consults with neurodiverse families.
