GW Art Therapy Program alumni are employed in a range of fields, reflecting the many potential applications of the discipline. They work at medical and psychiatric hospitals, military facilities, pain clinics, shelters, universities, correctional facilities, elder care facilities, art studios and more.
Our graduates have served as presidents of the American Art Therapy Association and editors of the peer-reviewed Art Therapy Journal. They present research, publish and teach; direct art therapy graduate programs; and continue to work with diverse clientele in a variety of settings.
