Jennifer Bettini Baldwin, MA, ATR-BC, LCPAT is a graduate of The George Washington University Art Therapy Graduate program and has been a practicing art therapist in the D.C. Metro area since 1997. Her experience includes working with pediatric oncology/hematology patients at the Lombardi Cancer Center, working in the Fairfax County Public School system with ages K-6, art therapy consultation for an after-school autism program, and has worked as a clinical art therapist for a private therapeutic day school, Accotink Academy, where she provided individual and group art therapy services for students in grades K-12 with severe learning and emotional disabilities. She was the director of the art therapy department at Accotink Academy for 6 years. She in now in private practice working with children, adolescents and adults. Jennifer is also an experienced supervisor, providing supervision to both practicing art therapists and art therapy students. Jennifer joined the adjunct faculty at The George Washington University, Art Therapy Graduate program in 2010 and taught the course, Art Therapy with Adolescents. She also serves as an on-campus supervisor. Jennifer is a member of the American Art Therapy Association, Potomac Art Therapy Association and Maryland Art Therapy Association. She has served on the AATA Governmental Affairs Committee. Jennifer is a resident of Falls Church, Virginia with her husband and two daughters. She believes strongly in volunteering in her community and strives to bring the arts to her volunteer work. She enjoys working with her hands and finds great satisfaction in the clay building and glazing processes, as this type of work allows for both a grounding experience (organic, physical working of the clay) and a releasing experience (glazing/firing process- where you are not in control of the outcome).
