Sarah is one of the 2017-2018 interns at the George Washington University Art Therapy Clinic, serving the community of the Washington DC metropolitan area. She is a graduate student at the George Washington University, where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Therapy. Her previous experience includes interning as an art therapist at a residential retirement community and with George Washington’s summer abroad program, running programs at a men’s homeless shelter and an elementary school in Chennai, India. Sarah has a MS in Education from McDaniel College in Maryland and was previously employed as an elementary school art teacher in Carroll County Public Schools. She believes in the therapeutic benefits of art making and is passionate about helping others experience the same.
